People always think that being a blogger is easy. Sure, you could always just take pictures of your daily outfit and post it, but that's not all yet. You shall also make sure that the location is the right one in order to compliment your outfit; also, the lighting has to be the right one. Oh, and have I mentioned the editing after every single shooting. Oh yeah. And as we don't want to share pictures without a single word, some of us even take time to write and write and write some more.. Who said it was easy again?
I should also mention that we all want to keep our followers updated and want to share our work and daily inspiration with the world on basically every platform and website possible. We set up new social media accounts in order to do that. We go shopping in order to be able to provide new styles. We tweak our websites in order to make it all look pretty and hopefully professional. We try to teach ourselves how to use Photoshop.. And a million other things I shall not mention now or else we will all surely get bonkers and end up running in circles like crazy people.
All of these points lead most of us to feel overwhelmed, stressed.. And when it all kicks in, some even give up and quit it all. Some leave their pages be and never work on them anymore only because we had high expectations and it all lead to sheer disappointment. The key to all success is to be patient and to keep on doing what you love doing. The key is to never give up and one day you will eventually succeed. I know it's hard not to see anything changing over weeks and even months, but giving up should never be an option.
"We try to wear too many hats."
See as a fashion blogger you’re the stylist, model, photographer, graphic designer, brand designer, web designer, marketing manager, account manager, SEO, social media manager. And the list goes on.
But hey, it's not impossible as long as you keep going and never give up. It's important that you focus on having fun too, and on sharing things you really like. Don't copy others; don't be like everyone else because we have enough of them.
Make sure you are passionate about the things you share and stay enthusiastic towards your own work and I promise you others will love it as much as you do.
